Objective
Create fan and community engagement moment for the Pistons that connects audiences off the court, while position the team to be more than a basketball club but a community resource that provides access free to creative education
What We Did
Executed a hyper local Art on Sneaker Competition to engage with the Detroit High School community. Host the competition at the Piston’s performance center, where artists created art on sneaker concepts live, participated in professional footwear workshops and presented concepts with three sneakers being produced.
Results
- Provided 20 local artists with free HBCU design education workshops
- Drove 4K+ engagement over social and email engagement and ticket sales to celebration game
- Produced three pairs of sneakers to drive retail sales and marketing engagement with hyperlocal focus
